Somewhere Over The Rainbow.

I find the title fitting for these parents to be. Their journey from afar, the bright colors from the setting sun….the place they are about to set foot into…parenthood!

It had been around 9 weeks since daddy saw mommy….her tummy had grown since he last saw her and he couldn’t take his eyes off her.

These two were up for ANYTHING….and I got to have some fun with different locations!

I look forward to meeting your little munchkin!

You’ll understand the title of this post with the last photo….haha

I have been photographing this litte guy for the past year of his life. I was there when he was born…*sniffle, sniffle* And now he is ONE! I heard just yesterday that he took his first steps!

I raided his closet for a tough guy look….it works so well for him!

And here it is….now you will understand…. Yup. Mama is carrying A’s little brother or sister. Although…I say boy! I am so thrilled for you guys!

Rain or Shine I Do’s.

Dustin and Leah were eager to meet me quite a few months back. We just clicked that day and they signed the contract on the spot. Before we knew it their day rolled around and excitement shone through. Everyone was so busy, so thrilled and smiling non-stop. It started off as a windy but gorgeous day and by the time the ceremony was held, it was cool and lightly raining. Although it wasn’t quite in their plans….everyone held up beautifully…umbrellas everywhere and everyone was still smiling. I am so happy I could be a part of your day…it was perfect.

I love this next one….

After playing on the farm we took off to the Morden beach…which was VERY windy….

We were then off to the Wainkler Harvest Festival for fun, fun, fun!!!

And yes…they were in the ferris wheel…that top blue one actually! The weather was starting not to cooperate all of a sudden.

Quick stop for icecream….

Now back to the house for the big finale!

and then it got dark…. SO after some last minute clothing fixes, prayer for the rain to hold off and last minute guests to arrive…

the ceremony got started….

It rained. You can see it on my lens in the previous photo and pouring down in the next one..

But oh that kiss was beautiful…even I teared up!

And then we all rain into the tent to cheer, eat and celebrate!

as the sun was setting me and my second (Lori) chased the couple to the end of the road to catch a sunset shot in the rain…lucky Lori caught this one because my camera refused to focus in the rain.

A Little Bit Of Magic…

I was contacted by Stacey a few weeks back wanting her daughter’s photos done. She had one BIG request though…her daughter LOVES horses….LOVES….and she was wondering if I had a location where there was horses. I sat stumped for a moment and then remembered, yes…I do! So I pulled some strings (not that it was hard to do! haha) and voila..we ended up at a farm just outside of Altona. I know the family very well and they were more than happy to accomodate us for the evening.

And what a BEAUTIFUL and MAGICAL evening it was…just take a look:

M was a little nervous but so thrilled to be surrounded by them but that passed quickly and then she was just in awe.

One of my favorites…..

I had a great time…..hope to see you again next year M!

After a whole yr he is still cautious of me…but boy does he have smiles…when he shares them…haha

He was soooo happy over this rock he was holding! The face on the right makes me giggle!

It’s been amazing watching my clients grow up.

I don’t think it matters either way, as soon as these parents gaze upon their child it will be instant love…girl or boy!

Let it be known that I told them it would be a girl! haha

Mom and dad were up for anything I suggested…and I loved this next location….

I HAD to use this colorful wall in Carmen. Yup…I drove out to Carmen for this one and I am SO glad I did!

Hello purple on purple on purple…..mama is glowing!

I could have cried when I saw this shot…it’s so…perfect!

and lastly…we headed back to their place to hit the sunset!

I am just so pleased and can not wait to go back to take pictures of their little bundle! *cough* Girl!

Outnumbered And Loving Every Minute Of It!

The mom that is….hubby and 3 boys! You know her days are filled with stinky socks, grass stains,

breaking up fist fights…….add soccer, fishing, hockey…..and….I’m exhausted just thinking about it! But this mom is right in on the action…

Normally I wear out the kids at my sessions….I think it was the other way around this time! haha

How cute is this……I love it!

Good luck mama….one day those boys will be teenagers! Although for some reason I don’t think you’re worried about that!

Oh Baby, My Baby, My Sweet Baby Boy!

Baby P came into this world almost 5 weeks ago.

He was 6 and 11 days when we did the newborn sessions! It was a two parter as little Mr was a fighter the first time and my light was going down too quickly.

He slept like an angel the second time!

Sweet little sleeping baby on a handmade blanket just for him!

We couldn’t pass up the chance to photograph mom, dad and baby!

And a few more just because I can……

He was a doll! Thank you mom and dad for allowing me into your home so many time over the past few months. It’s been a pleasure getting to know you all!

There Was A Boy…..

…..who was surrounded by family who loved him SO much.

Mama worked hard to get K to smile. Grandma and Grandpa helped too.

I loved watching him concentrate, take in the world around him and explore.

It was a pleasure to capture this little guy…..I hope to have the chance to do it again in the future.
