Gahhhhh…what can I say. I just had the most WONDERFUL maternity session. The couple is so in love and so ready to meet their first child.
I just wish them all the best in the next 3 weeks and I cannot wait to photograph their little bundle!

It was not that long ago that I was in a labour room, watching the clock tick and waiting for the arrival of our final piece of the puzzle. Looking back I wish I would have done many things differently but there is one thing I will never regret…..that, was my closest friend in the room with me, taking photos of the entire process. I can look back and feel every emotion from that day. It’s moments I never want to forget.
Shortly after our daughter was born, my camera was in hand and I got to capture her wrinkly newborn skin, her siblings finally getting to meet her and her first smile.
9 months of waiting………instant love!
I can barely believe this was 9 1/2 months ago!

So tomorrow is my son’s 3rd birthday. We’ve been so busy getting ready for his party….the food, the decorations, the cleaning, the invites, the gifts and……THE CAKE!
We are usually good with a generic rectangle slab of iced and flowered cake made by someone in the bakery of the local grocery…..but THIS time we went searching. I had something in mind and I was going to die trying to find it. Luck to report…I don’t have to die, because I found it!
I was told by a friend about Daisy Cakes Cafe in Plum Coulee!
Such a sweet little place filled with yummy sights and smells.
A great place to sit and enjoy a coffee, cookie….heck, maybe even both! There are plenty of other tasty treats to be devoured also.
Sweet and simple decor. Relaxing atmosphere…….and open kitchen, so you can watch Tina mold, roll and tranform a regular cake into a gorgeous creation.
That’s my boy’s Lightning McQueen cake right there! So awesome being able to watch her work!
Well, I still have a crap load to do between now and tomorrow at 5pm….so come back tomorrow and see more photos of THE CAKE…and who ate it!
